03:46 pm wow_ladies [solitaryjane] [Link]	Question about Computer So I want to get Wrath but not sure that my comp can handle it. Specifically, my Video card. I have an old Macbook with Intel GMA 900 card, 1.8 Ghz, and 2GB ram. Can I level in Northrend with this? Can I load Dalaran/WG? If not, can I just not go to Northrend and stay in Outlands and level, or will installing Wrath make that impossible, too? Asking because I'm not exactly a comp person, and was going to wait until I get a new one next year, but then I saw the T10 Shaman preview, and it makes me want to at least reach 80 when 3.3 comes out, so. 02:01 pm wow_ladies [versari_girl] [Link]	Newly 80 Warlock Hi WoW ladies! The industrious and somewhat lazy kooky warlock is back! And now level 80! But.. now that I am eighty I've realized I honestly have no clue what to do on gear, aside from getting hit capped. : / I have a few ToC, both normal and heroic, under my belt but I'm still not sure what to do now. Given many people aren't interested in running Naxx anymore (LIES! Naxx is still fun dammit!) and solely focusing on either ToC or Ulduar I'm left standing with Susan the Fel Guard going... 09:28 am wow_ladies [naa_ilah] [Link]	The easy way out I want to get your opinions on something in game. I play a ret paladin most of the time but feel like I've hit a large wall with her. It is hard to get into groups, even in my own guild because I'm melee or I'm another pally. Thus, I've taken to alts and at least I feel a little better about my shaman, for now. My questions are....Do you think DPS take the easy way out? Are we too lazy and don't want to heal or tank that we pick DPS because it's easier? Or do you think that all the different classes are hard and you just have to learn to play them right? I've read a few blogs where people complain about ret and how easy it is, so I wondered if that is the general consensus. I do sometimes wish I could get into raiding, but I'm not willing to leave my guild. I've got so many friends there who I love to pieces, but they're all mostly casual players and we don't have many 80s. Have any of you experienced this sort of dilemma? How do you cope? 08:54 am wow_ladies [starcrow] [Link]	Worried about a dear friend of mine. This morning I logged on to see four characters removed from my friends list - all of them belonging to the same person, a very close friend of mine whom would never just up and leave without saying anything. He made a big deal about asking me to tell him if I ever found another server or say goodbye if I ever decided to leave or what have you so there's no way he'd just go and delete his accounts or transfer without saying goodbye. It happened very late at night also which is unusual because he works and so doesn't really have an opportunity to come online late at night. Even if he had transferred, he would have left an alt or something to say bye if I was not online or whatever. Very, very suspicious that he's just disappeared like that. The accounts also must have been deleted because I've done an armory search on each of them and it's come up blank, unless it takes time to show it or something. So I've opened a GM ticket. I think his account has been compromised. I'm hoping that they'll at least investigate my claims and not just dismiss them because I don't own the account. I don't mind if he has transferred or deleted his accounts without saying, I'd just like to know that his account is safe and still in his control and not at the hands of some grubby hacker. 03:26 pm worldofwarcraft [rio] [Link]	SP spell rotation So we were doing Sarth 3d today and I felt I was not pulling my weight dps wise...among others, but i'm working on my failings right now :)....I always felt SP's have such a slow start...dot dot cast that do that, then start MF'ing. But if you didn't notice from the fact that the rest of my gear is a hodgepodge of random blues and purples, I am what you might call a "fresh eighty". The belt that dropped was a considerable upgrade from the mid-70s belt I had before, +hit or not. Trust me, I'm more than capable of healing your Heroic UK run even with one item giving me 38 hit. 11:09 am wow_ladies [metao] [Link]	Gear Scores! Why the gear score hate? The previous methods - on my server at least - for finding a pug were "link the achievement" and "whats your dps/spellpower/unbuffed hp". Here are my problems with those methods: "Link the achievement" means nothing. It means you were in a group that downed the boss. Once. It doesn't mean that you performed the same role you're about to. It doesn't mean you weren't carried. It doesn't mean you didn't die 2 seconds in. It proves you have zoned in with a group that didn't suck. The only thing Link The Achievement is good for is when you're pugging hard modes. You can get carried through a lot of Ulduar hard modes these days, but nobody is going to be carried through HM Anub Mad Skill just yet, even on 10-man. "Whats your X" is even more fail because - especially in the case of X=DPS - you could be lying. So you still need to armory people. As a raid leader you can guess that a X spec'd player of class Y should be able to produce Z numbers, but that assumes you have a good idea what that class is capable of. And as a tank/healer it is possible to stack SP or Stamina, even though you should be stacking Haste or Int or avoidance or something else, just to inflate your "score". I saw this happen even in BC, where a Resto Shaman had stacked spellpower like mad to reach the magical 2k "good gear line", but would OOM in 2 minutes because he had little to no MP5. Now, Im not saying Gear Score is perfect. Not by any means. A great tank will have three or more sets of gear, each with different gear scores. A DPS might pull better numbers as one spec, but have a higher GS for another spec (eg Hunters with ArPen). Im not advocating using GS as your entire proof of capability. Im not advocating ditching friends for better geared pugs, or any other dick move... But GS is as good as, if not better than, any other heuristic for determining a pugs capabilities before testing them. So why the hate? (160 comments \| Leave a comment)

06:56 pm wow_ladies [nightmarehorse] [Link]	Druids, Armor pen and 3.3 I have been 'trying' to find information about this but with sites like EJ, there's just so much to look through and seems like most of it isn't kept up to date. I was told that they're nerfing/removing armor pen(although I haven't found any information confirming this yet) next patch so I'm trying to figure out if maybe with gear upgrades if I should just start gemming for agility again. And if I should also be concerned with trying to find a replacement for my arm pen proc trinket. So confuzzled... I just wish Blizz would make up their damn minds. It would be so much easier if I could grab my 4 closest WoW friends and raid without having to worry about anyone else on the server. I like ToC. Really. I actually like it. 07:18 pm wow_ladies [express_silence] [Link]	mounts hello ladies! my boyfriends bithday is coming up and i really want to do something for him in game, i was thinking of farming a mount for him - but im not sure if there are any that are BoE. hes also really into achievements, and i would get him a few rare pets but hes more interested in mounts. sooo i was wondering if any of you had any ideas, something you might have done for your significant other, or if you could tell me of any mounts that i could farm on my toon to give to him. thanks in advance!
